Mathieu Cherkit (Paris, 1982) is represented by Jean Brolly gallery in Paris and Albada Jelgersma gallery in Amsterdam. He works in Yonne, France, and exhibits regularly in France and abroad.

He has presented his work in solo exhibitions : Espace Julio Gonzalez, Arcueil, 2019 ; Tajan auction house during FIAC, Paris, 2017 ; or Musée des Avelines, Saint-Cloud, 2012.
Among group exhibitions he participated in, one can mention Musée Sainte-Croix in Poitiers ; HAB-Musée des beaux-arts de Nantes ; Musée d’art moderne et contemporain de Strasbourg ; or Palais de Tokyo in Paris.
His works are included in several collections : CNAP, Museum Voorlinden, Musée des Avelines, and several art foundations (Colas, Bredin-Prat, Salomon, Akzo Nobel). He was nominated for Jean-François Prat Award in 2013 and for Science-Po Award for Art in 2013.
After graduating (DNSEP) from École des beaux-arts de Nantes in 2009, he completed an exchange at the Hochschule fuer Grafik und Buchkunst in Leipzig.
In March 2021, he will present his third solo exhibition at Albada Jelgersma gallery in Amsterdam and he will participate in a group exhibition in Dubai.
