Raphaël Barontini, born in France in 1984, graduated from École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de Paris and also studied at Hunter College of Art in New York. He lives and works in Saint-Denis, near Paris.

He is represented by Mariane Ibrahim gallery in Chicago (USA), The Pill in Istanbul (Turkey) and Espai Tactel in Valencia (Spain).
Raphaël Barontini's work has been shown at International Biennials as in Lima (Peru), Bamako (Mali), Thessaloniki (Greece) and Casablanca (Morocco).
He exhibited at several art centers in France : MAC VAL in Vitry, C.A.C La Traverse in Alfortville, Les Abattoirs de Toulouse, Maison des Arts de Malakoff, MIAM in Sète, Le Cyclope in Milly-la-Forêt.
In the United States, he recently benefited from two solo shows : SCAD Museum of Art in Savannah as well as the Texan Art Center, Fort Worth Contemporary Arts. He has also made a large installation at the Museum of African Diasporas in San Francisco.
He has just completed a 7-month residency in a tannery in Singapore invited by LVMH and its Métiers d’art residency program.
